MobileMax wins BroadSoft's XCv2 Developers Challange

BroadSoft Announces Winners in XCv2 Developers Challenge

BroadSoft, Inc., the worldwide leader in VoIP applications, today
announced the winners of its second annual XCv2 developer challenge.
Co-sponsored by Polycom, XCv2 invited application developers, software
development teams and independent software vendors (ISVs) to create
innovative, new application mashups using BroadSoft's Xtended Web
Services and other open application program interfaces (APIs).
Interest in XCv2 was overwhelming, drawing developers from around the
world and 10x the response in registrations compared to last year's
contest. XCv2 culminates a five-month submission process and judging by a
panel of industry experts. Winners were selected in three categories
based on a number of criteria, including innovation, user experience,
business value and usage of suggested tools and APIs.
XCv2 award categories and winners are as follows:
XBusiness -- Applications that enhance the productivity of business users.
Two applications tied for first place in this category.
Developer: Excendia (Montreal, Canada)/App: Excendia Virtual Assistant
Description: a speech-enabled application that enables mobile users to use
voice commands to listen and reply to e-mails, send new e-mails, review
and schedule calendar appointments, control their phone status and call
Developer: MobileMax (Herzelia, Israel)/App: MobileMax Enterprise Edition
Description: a Unified Communications (UC) client for mobile phones
enabling users to integrate BroadWorks(R) features to their cellular
phones. Business users can seamlessly route mobile calls via their IP
Centrex using their cell phone's native dialer, contact list or call log.
The Enterprise Edition provides easy access to their IP Centrex
call-control features such as Remote Office, Do Not Disturb, Call
Retrieve, Call FWD, etc., from the mobile handset.
XConsumer -- Applications that make the day-to-day lives of consumers
easier to manage.
Developer: WorldxChange Communications/Sulaco Technology (Auckland, New
Zealand)/App: MyZazu
Description: an online portal in which individuals can broadcast events
and notices via text to speech, e-mail, SMS and twitter, to their
contacts. MyZazu integrates telephony, social networking and Google to
empower users to take advantage of the many communication methods and
customize them to suit their particular needs. With the move to cloud
computing and communications, MyZazu is a one-stop shop UC communications
XCool -- Applications that embody the spirit of Xtended, mashing up
multiple APIs to create new user experiences.

Voice Mail for Polycom's VVX1500
Description: a video desktop phone application that transcribes voicemails
for business users and enables click-to-call directly from the
